Floods, fire or storms cause homelessness. It is difficult to solve the problem. People have lost their belongings and family. Agriculture has also been destroyed. Thousands of people die because of bad weather every year. They stay outside on the streets in hot or cold weather and rains. These people sometimes stay in shelters and churches. 20 million people have left their homes. The homeless people have no protection from extreme weather and this negatively impacts their life expectancy and quality of life.
