Yamuna River is about 1,400 kilometers long and flows into Ganges River. The river provides more than half of New Delhi’s water. Yamuna is one of the dirtiest rivers in India. A lot of garbage is dumped. Though the water is dirty, people still prefer to bathe in it. The Hindus of India bathe in the river since Yamuna is one of the India’s most sacred places. White foam is in the river and is full of chemicals which are bad for people’s skin and breathing as the foam contains high levels of ammonia.
