She married him when she was 19 years old. She lived in the city of Fukuoka, Japan. She was born in 1903 and lived through two world wars. She survived the Spanish Flu in 1918 and the Covid-19. She had four children. She spent her last years in a Japanese care home where she enjoyed board games and chocolate. With her death, the world’s oldest person is now Lucile Randon, a 116-year-old French woman. Japanese government released life expectancy statistics in July 2020 and showed that women had a life expectancy of 87.45 years compared to 81.4 years for men.
